Fundraising

We encourage ideas and help in coordinating fund raising activities for the team!  Proceeds from fund raising go to offset the team costs (and your costs) in order to make this a more affordable and fun experience for our boys.

National Restaurant Gift Card Basket! (click here - for flyer)

The first fundraiser Becca Fisk is coordinating is a team gift card basket.  Here are the details of this activity:
  • Each family buys one $50 restaurant gift card.  We would only want national chains and preferably they are all different.
  • All of the gift cards are put into one gift basket for a total of $950 in restaurant gift cards (19 X $50).
  • Each player is responsible for selling 20 tickets each for $20.
  • The player that sells the most tickets will get a free hockey stick.
  • Sell them to friends, family and at work.  The best time is to sell them at the ice den when they are busy.
  • At some point, we draw one name and that person wins all $950 in gift cards.
  • Even if each player sells only 20 tickets, we raise $7,600 (19 players X $20 X 20 tickets).
Last year, a player on the 97 team sold more than 100 tickets!!  I would suggest that we have the kids sell them by explaining that it will help our team enter the Quebec Pee Wee International Tournament.  People like a specific reason for raising funds and we will be able to use the money for that purpose anyway.

If you have any fund raising ideas, please let me know!  Many thanks,

- Vince
